CoRoM is an innovative system designed to monitor the condition of the connecting rod upper bearing shell in diesel engines. It consists of two sensors: the Bearing Cap Sensor and the Lub-oil Sensor. The Bearing Cap Sensor measures the temperature of the con-rod upper bearing cap closest point to the upper bearing shell, while the Lub-oil Sensor measures the temperature of the lube oil going to the piston crown. The system is wireless, batteryless, and able to generate its own energy, making it easy to install and operate without requiring frequent maintenance. With CoRoM, you can monitor the condition of your engine's connecting rod bearings continuously, providing you with faster and more accurate data to detect and prevent failures before they happen.
CoRoM uses a Bearing Cap Sensor and a Lub-oil Sensor to monitor the temperature of the engine connecting rod upper bearing shell and lubrication oil temperature respectively. The sensors wirelessly transfer the data to a main control panel, which establishes an early warning system to help prevent engine failures.
CoRoM is the first wireless, batteryless, and able to generate its own energy system to monitor the engine connecting rod upper bearing shell directly, providing early and accurate data to prevent engine failures. Other systems, such as Splash Oil Monitoring or Oil Mist Monitoring, are not as precise and can only provide an alarm after a failure has already occurred.
Yes, CoRoM can be used with any type of diesel engine, including marine, power generation, and industrial applications.
CoRoM is designed to require minimal maintenance and calibration. However, it is recommended to check the system periodically, as recommended by the manufacturer or a qualified technician.
CoRoM uses temperature sensor and has a sampling refresh rate of 500ms -1 second. The system consumes less than 500 μW of power and has a data transmission range of +8 dBm. The operating temperature range is between -40 to +105 Celsius.
CoRoM provides early and accurate data on engine conditions, allowing for proactive and preventative maintenance to prevent engine failures. This can save time, money, and reduce the risk of downtime or catastrophic engine failures.
